Our school is taking part in DFC I Can School Challenge since last 6 years. It is an award winning global movement led by children and uses design thinking through the four easy steps of FEEL, IMAGINE, DO & SHARE. India is seeing a growth phase under the leadership. However, there still exist many challenges that need to be addressed. We looked at some of the real issues in our surroundings that need to be worked upon. . Growing up as a tech savvy millennial, the children find it hilarious when their grandparents attempt to use technology. Their kids don’t have time to spend with them so they feel lonely at home. During PTMs we observed that most of the grandparents cannot even sign. So we decided to take up these two problems. We started a project “GOONJ”, where we provided smart class training to senior citizens- training on how to use smart apps to become smarter and also visited rural areas and taught the senior citizens how to sign, write their names and dial phone numbers.
