DAV Public School, West Patel Nagar celebrated its Annual Day Nema (Education being the root for life) on 27 th December ,2022 in the school premises. Many eminent dignitaries were present to witness the celebration of this grand event including esteemed Chief guests Mr. Ajay Suri (General Secretary of DAC CMC),guest of honour Mr. Ankush Narang( Counsellor West Patel Nagar),Dr. Shelly Oberoi( Counsellor East Patel Nagar) , Mr Ajay Goel )president of Rotary club)and Ms. S Chandla (Manager) . The programme inaugrated at 10.30 am with lamp lighting ceremony by the estemeed guests alongwith headmistress of school Ms. Rashmi Gupta. The programme commenced with a symphony orchestra performance procedded by floral welcome to the dignitaries.Headmistress of the school gave an addressal speech welcoming all the guests. Thereafter , budding cherubims of preschool and Pre Primary presented an adorable dance performance on minions that swayed the audience. Then, little bundles of class one and two gave a marvellous dance performance showcasing their cartoon theme of Mickey Mouse and Spider man. After that, the honourable chief guest Mr. Ajay Suri gave speech to enlighten everyone with his words of wisdom proceeded by VIVIDHA ( school magazine ) launch an illuminating chronicle of schools`s insight and ethos. To give away the message of environment conservation and observing the SDG 14 Life below water littel starlings gave an eye opener dance performance on 'Save water and Say no to plastics ' that gave a revelation to the audience . In order to honour the NGO Abha Abhas old age home Mr. Ajay Goel presented blankets and bed sheets to Ms. Nirupama and her team. After that a scintillating dance performance depicting the Rajasthani folk lore was presented by young girls of DAV. To dream big and aim high a breathtaking show was put up by exuberent skaters . To begin a couse of action little Taekwondoins enthralled te audience.Together we may give our children roots to grow to give away this message students of class 5 presented a skit on parent - teacher role in child`s holistic development. The show was a grand success with the support and cooperativeness of staff , students and teachers and a milestone for DAV, West Patel Nagar.
