VAYUNA_aiming towards peace

DAV Public School West Patel Nagar celebrated its Annual Day Vayuna_aiming towards peace on the 14th February 2017 in the school premises. The occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest Padma Shri Arya Ratna Dr. Punam Suri (President DAVCMC), Ms. Mani Suri, Guest of honour Dr. N.K.Kakkar, Sh. Mohan Lal, Sh. S.R.Arora,

Sh. Mahesh Chopra, Sh. D.V.Sethi, Sh. J.P.Shoor, Sh. Nanak Chand,

Chairman Sh. Ravinder Kumar, Manager Sh. G.R.Sawhney, our school headmistress Ms. Rashmi Gupta, LMC members & principals from different DAV Schools.

The event started with the inauguration of solar plant followed by DAV Gaan & floral welcome of the luminaries. The school choir presented a pleasurable musical symphony followed by an enchanting welcome dance by the tiny tots. Then the esteemed dignitaries paid a heartfelt tribute to the Goddess Saraswati by performing auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony.

 

The evening was made more colourful with cultural programmes after the welcome address by Chairman Sir, Headmistress’s sessional report and projection of annual album along with . The cultural program began with Ishwar Vandna to adore the blissful Supreme Being. The montessorians presented the firework of rapid moving steps through their dance performance Dancellenium. Some other attractions of the event were comcentric(the laughter dance), Qwwali & dance program promoting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The eye catcher of the program was -the ballet: VAYUNA_aiming towards peace which reflected the values preached by Buddha for sake of humanity & the betterment of the society.

The occasion also witnessed the unveiling of school’s annual newsletter vividha by our Chief Guest. Accolades were given away to the young achievers by the Chief Guest,for their brilliant performance in curricular as well as co-curricular spheres. All the performances got an admiring applause from everyone and ended with a vote of thanks and National Anthem.
